After I applied for a position, I was scheduled for an interview. Can I check to see what the date and time of my interview is, or reschedule it?

If you were scheduled for an assessment or interview, you will need to reach out to the individual who originally contacted you and have them confirm the details or reschedule the appointment.

I have a scheduled interview and need directions to the interview site. Where can I find them?

If you were scheduled for an assessment or interview, you will need to reach out to the individual who originally contacted you and have them confirm the details or provide directions.

I’ve applied several times and have never been invited for an interview. Why?

Due to high application volumes, we will follow up directly only with those who are selected to move forward in the recruitment process.  If you have not been selected to move forward, you will be notified by a system notification sometime during or after the recruitment process is complete.

The recruitment process can take time due to the large number of applications received for some positions.  As the recruitment progresses through each stage, you will be notified via email on your status.  Ensure to check your junk mail folder for diverted emails.

Candidates can also view the status of any position for which they have applied from their candidate profile. Login to you candidate profile account and consult the “Jobs Applied” section of your candidate profile.

I was contacted for an interview; how should I prepare?

Prior to your interview, explore the Canada Post website to learn more about the company.  Review the job posting and think about how your experience and qualifications relate to the job. You may also want to make a list of potential questions and practice your answers – it will help you to become more knowledgeable and self-assured.

We ask behavioral and situational questions and are seeking strong examples from your personal or professional experience that match the requirements of the position. Come prepared with any questions you may have about the specific job or Canada Post in general.

How should I prepare for a virtual interview?

If you are selected for a virtual interview, find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and ensure you have a good internet connection by testing your device in advance.

How long are interviews and who are they with?

The duration of interviews varies depending on the position, but can range from 30 minutes to over an hour.

The interview panel also depends on the position. The panel may consist of the manager accountable for the position, as well as one other manager, supervisor or HR representative. Please note for some positions the interview may be conducted by a vendor that is representing Canada Post (a third-party company).
