General co-op program

Who is eligible?

  • Students must be enrolled in a formal co-op program through an accredited college or university.
  • Students must be able to work full time hours throughout their term.
  • The academic institution must approve the placement.
  • The program of study and work placement with Canada Post must align to credit the student with hours worked towards their certificate/diploma.

Timeline

  • Students can be hired for a minimum term of 4 months (14 weeks) and a maximum term of 8 months, depending on the type of co-op position.
  • There are three co-op terms:
    • Summer: May to August
    • Fall: September to December
    • Winter: January to April
