Job Description

The Officer, Projects is accountable to participate in programs or lead small studies, conducted for development of cost effective operational practices and procedures to meet the Collection and Delivery mandate for efficiency improvements.

Job Responsibilities

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Officer, Projects:

 

  • Analyzes, develops and implements changes in business practices for C&D.

 

  • Analyzes C&D problems and issues and evaluates opportunities for change and improvements of business through the conduct of feasibility studies.

 

  • Recommends new or changed operational methods and procedures and manages changes through to implementation.

 

  • Develops and documents rationale for and consequences of change.

 

  • Develops and maintains contacts with other Corporate functional areas (C&C, NMP, IT, F&P, etc.) in H.O. and the Division.

Job Responsibilities (continued)

  • Completes assigned tasks within the overall plan and budget.

 

  • Coordinates the integration of major activities within larger national Corporate programs.

 

  • Participates in preparing terms of reference for external professional services to ensure efficient utilization of resources and clear understanding of assignments.

 

  • Participates in the evaluation of programs before and after implementation.

 

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of corporate plans, policies and programs, procedures and guidelines as well as analyzes methodologies and practices and a good understanding of the potential impact that management systems have on fiscal status and public image of the Corporation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Completed post-secondary, preferably in a related field  OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training

 

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant functional experience
  • One or more years of experience in a unionized environment an asset

 

Other Candidate Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills
