Job Responsibilities

Canada Post is anticipating openings for students to work in the following areas of business:

  • Accounting/Finance

Job Responsibilities (continued)

This team assists customers with account issues such as blocks and over-limit situations. Our responsibilities include answering phones and responding to customer inquiries via email. Additionally, we handle invoice adjustments, manage payments, and perform soft collections.

Qualifications

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program
  • Enrolled in a Finance/Accounting or Business program preferred. 

 

Experience 

  • No experience required

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Adaptable: ability to work effectively in different situations and/or with different people
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Various technical skills based on business area requirements
  • Various linguistic profiles dependent on position
  • Bilingualism considered an asset

To be eligible for the Summer Student Employment program, you must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Study in one of the Corporation’s areas of business mentioned above
  • Have completed your first year of University, College or Cégep, and
  • Be enrolled for the following year
