Job Description

 

The Manager, Enterprise Analytics Integration provides strategic leadership to align data and analytics initiatives with Canada Post’s corporate vision. This role maintains a holistic view of enterprise analytical needs and roadmaps, translating business strategies and use cases into integrated, value‑driven analytical products. By partnering with business, IT, governance teams, and external vendors, the role leads the delivery of sustainable analytics solutions, communicates insights to diverse audiences, and ensures analytics investments are prioritized, governed, and executed to maximize enterprise value as well as aligned with Canada Post’s strategic priorities for Business Intelligence, Data Management and Analytics (BIDMA).

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Manager, Enterprise Analytics Integration: 

 

1.    Maintains a high-level understanding of Canada Post’s vision and strategic direction with a focus on how to drive the greatest and most relevant value to the enterprise. Links client’s data and analytics plans and objectives back to the broader corporate vision and strategy.

 

2.    Maintains a holistic program view of the analytical needs, initiatives and roadmaps of the assigned portfolio and understands the framework of metrics and value maps to prioritize business needs according to their potential value and contribution to corporate goals.

 

3.    Understands the relevant data and analytic landscape as well as innovative solutions and trends being developed in the industry to drive top-line and bottom-line growth.

 

4.    Conducts high-level reviews to identify client needs, looking for opportunities to better meet business needs. Analyzes and translates customer use cases into analytical and data products. Works collaboratively with functional data governance, IT delivery, vendors and business teams to improve integration and to develop data and analytical growth plans, new business processes, analytical products or take-to-market corporate strategies. 

 

5.    Coordinates with key internal and external stakeholder groups, including vendors, ensuring business strategy aligns with emerging opportunities, external needs and corporate expectations while implementing new or enhanced analytical solutions to track and monitor organizational KPIs.

6.    Effectively communicates the business and technical benefits of data products and analytical solutions to both business and technical audiences using data to craft a compelling story.

 

7.    Manages communications and develops materials, providing project and program updates to a wide range of audiences, including summaries of analytical portfolio needs and roadmaps as well as recommendations of analytical advancement opportunities for Canada Post. 

 

8.    Leads teams developing and implementing analytical products, partnering business and technology teams, to support sustainable analytical solutions in a production environment. As a Master Analytical Product Owner, manages budgets and expectations associated with the development and delivery of data and analytics solutions, prioritizes initiatives, understands high-level requirements and manages stakeholders for the overall client portfolio.

 

9.    Builds and leverages effective working relationships with other business units and IT service providers on behalf of BIDMA. Provides expertise and advice on corporate data analytics programs and projects. Identifies risks and issues that could adversely affect project scope, timelines and budgetary limits for these programs. Provides technical expertise and advice to project managers, business areas, and technical teams to resolve these concerns.

 

10.    Supports the onboarding of analytical resources from portfolio areas into the organization, guiding reviews of current available data and analytics platforms, tools, products and processes, especially cross-functional initiatives which require broad corporate data, analytics expertise and integration.

 

Qualifications

 

Education


•    Completed post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Commerce, Math/Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems) or a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.


•    A graduate-level degree (such as a Master’s) is desirable.

 

 

Experience


•    5 or more years of experience in an environment applying data and analytical insights/solutions to drive business strategies and objectives.


•    5 or more years of analytical product development experience (e.g. reports, dashboards, data sets, etc.) with a working knowledge of analytical concepts, techniques and technologies.


•    2 or more years of experience in people leadership roles.


•    Proven leadership skills with experience building teams and positive work cultures.


•    Demonstrated ability to drive performance through leadership behaviours, sound decision making, and thoughtful implementation of initiatives and actions plans to ensure successful outcomes.


•    Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and facilitate cross-functional stakeholder groups and project manage analytical initiatives.


•    Proven experience in relationship management and client-facing consulting.


•    Broad business experience (e.g. Business management, marketing, planning, finance, operations, project management).


•    Experience managing and planning budgets.

 

 

Other Candidate Requirements


•    Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs and other job relevant programs.


•    Knowledge of IT processes and infrastructure required to support business intelligence and analytics.


•    Solid understanding of analytics methodologies such as predictive modelling, profiling, segmentation, forecasting, operations research and data mining.


•    Working knowledge of visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure), and other data-centric platforms (e.g. SAP, Salesforce) would be an asset.
