Job Description
Reporting to the Director, IT Delivery Excellence, the Manager, IT Delivery Agility is a strategic and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about developing creative and innovative solutions to drive and enhance delivery agility across Canada Post’s projects and initiatives. This individual will be responsible for defining, enhancing, documenting, and communicating the Agile delivery operating model, promoting best practices, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the successful and timely delivery of IT solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Functional / Technical
- Champion the adoption and consistent implementation of Agile methodologies across IT projects
- Provide guidance and support to project teams in adopting Agile practices and tailoring them to suit specific project requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments of Agile maturity and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance Agile maturity and delivery agility, ensuring projects are delivered more efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address potential roadblocks and improvements to Agile adoption and successful delivery.
- Coach and mentor project teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, values, and practices
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement to sustain Agile adoption and effectiveness.
- Promote transparency and visibility by ensuring project status, risks and dependencies are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success and efficiency of Agile delivery operating model.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends and areas for further improvement.
- Collaborate with teams to develop accurate forecasts, adjusting plans as needed to stay aligned with strategic objectives and meaningful forecasting.

Leadership
- Act as an agent of cultural change by championing digital transformation throughout CPC.
- Improve collaboration between IT and the business by offering a seamless and satisfying customer experience that has a positive impact on business outcomes.
- Be an evangelist, championing the use of digital technology and practices to establish a digital mindset from the top down.
- Drive collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices among partners and colleagues to help establish a robust digital ecosystem.
- Take responsibility to advance the digital dexterity of business partners and present new business options and opportunities based on successful digital examples.
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain external accreditations and an in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices in Agile and IT Delivery Operating Models through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management methodologies, processes, and tools to increase project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Enable continuous improvement of IT delivery processes through regular stakeholder engagement, process reviews and tracking of key metrics/performance indicators.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications
- Completed post-secondary education, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent
- Agile certifications like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Agilist (SA) or equivalent
- PRINCE2 Foundation, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Management of Risk 4, P3O Foundation is an asset.
- A Master’s or Professional-level degree (e.g., MBA) an asset
Experience
- Relevant experience in working on projects involving multiple stakeholders including working with agile and waterfall development methodologies.
- Minimum of (7) years of relevant functional experience including leading the delivery of customer-focused strategies from conception to completion
- Minimum of (3) years of experience managing teams in a complex IT landscape
- Strategically minded with an understanding of business and technology to drive business value and financial objectives.
- Ability to create innovative strategies to improve our ability to execute faster and to secure buy-in from a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing relationships with technology, operations, and business members.
- Experience as an Agile coach, Scrum Master, or similar role, with a track record of successfully implementing Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and integration with Agile methodologies
- Experience in refinement, story splitting, estimation, sprint planning, agile metrics, reporting, and other Scrum techniques.
- Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.
